This image became the cover of my recent book A Portrait of Cars – Road Warriors of Cottesloe, a follow-up to Road Warriors of Fremantle and part of my ongoing documentary photography project exploring car culture in Western Australia.
While waiting to capture the perfect moment with this beautiful Alfa Romeo, serendipity stepped in. A surfer cruised past on a bike, board tucked under his arm — pure coastal nonchalance. The contrast between the timeless elegance of the car and the laid-back rhythm of Cottesloe life was unplanned, effortless, and exactly what the project is about.
About the Print - Photos printed on 310gsm Archival Cotton Rag Fine Art Paper. All photos have a small white border included.
